powerpoint for teachers

I’ve been scanning the world wide web all over to find power points for teachers. I’m a dean at a academic institution and a lot of my administrators use powerpoint presentations as part of the various teaching resources and material in general they use in the classroom. After searcing various education site directories I came across zuma ed’s powerpoint for teachers site. I’m very psyched with the level of quality and the correlation to standards. I’d like to factor these into my teachers’ classes…Well, the cool part is that they come up with related teaching resources etc. The only bad part is they only cover the below subjects (at least so far):

Math: polynomials and linear equatinos and rational functions and quadratic equations
Science: classical mechanics
Social Studies: Constitution

One I liked in particular was:
physics and anatomy

What makes power points a useful medium for capturing the attention of young students and helping them retain what they study in the classroom is that they’re editable. It kind of makes me wonder why film has controlled the space for so long. Zuma ed powerpoints have graphics and applets in addition to engaging graphics anyway. So basically you get more than you can imagine in their powerpoint products . I definitely recommend it. I’m chatting with them often to get some new powerpoints for our school district. I want them to be a teaching asset of our lesson plans, and most probably if a lot of New York schools join together we can get customized ones just for us–although we can do that ourselves too. Anyone else excited about rallying with me?
